➜ Kevin G. Mcguire’s Chestnut
Lane: Where Love Never Leaves is LIVE and we have the story behind the story! <— INSPIRED BY A TRUE ROMANCE!! Heartfelt and compelling, this novel explores love and resilience, and how faith can shape
the paths we choose.
ABOUT THE BOOK:
Chestnut Lane was penned by author Kevin G. McGuire, as a gift to his three parents. He knew where they were born and raised, a bit of their childhoods, and how their respective paths crossed at
different junctures in their lives.
He also grasped the happy and sad times they endured. The backgrounds created this beautiful romantic story.
Much of the storyline is fictionalized, but the core is true.
➜ Book Review – First Lie Wins: A Novel by Ashley Elston <--- I REVIEWED ANOTHER BOOK!!! I highlighted SO much of it... Psych-thriller and all of the exciting (and scary!!) elements that goes with it, and what I loved, is that we’re following the story through the eyes of one of the villain (or I should say villainess – which I love!). AND it kept me guessing, AND I was wrong at the end, and I loved
that!
Cheryl: …have you read First Lie Wins by Ashley Elston – go in blind but it was another couldn’t put it down for me!
…I’ve not read a psych thriller quite like this before and it was very
entertaining. Go in blind!
Tasha J: I did also read First Lie Wins, loved it!
Brenae: Loved this book!! Recommended it to all my friends!
➜ Throwback Thursday: On This Day on Maryse’s Book Blog – Jan 15th… <--- IT’S TIME FOR INSTALLMENT #3 of our official Throwback Thursday post. Apparently, I’ve always had a soft spot for forbidden love… because three posts from this day in past years all fall squarely into the we-shouldn’t-but-we-did category.
YES PLEASE!!! BUT IN BOOKS!!! Always only IN BOOKS!!! LOL!!!
Grey: ...if I’m reading a forbidden love story, I want to feel the angst, give me those pretzel tummy feels… And what’s the reason why it’s forbidden, blur the lines a bit, make me ache with the main
character.
Joy: I started reading all this “Taboo Romance”. One of the book that is an all time favorite for me in this category is by Tabitha Suzuma (FORBIDDEN). It is a heart wrenching story and it touched me so deeply, so much that I felt overwhelmed with those emotions. This book I highly recommended too.
Jean: The true love/forbidden love….ugh my heart.
