➜ Friday Finds & Reader Recommendations – 07-09-2021 <— MASSIVE FRIDAY FINDS LIST TODAY & IT. IS. AWESOME!!! 😁. Reader recommendations + book bargain finds (a few that I one-clicked that I was dying to read + another one in Kindle Unlimited that I'm starting tonight). YAY ME!! P.S. What are
you reading right now (or plan to be reading?)
Kelly: Maryse, you absolutely 💯% need to check out Flock and Exodus by Kate Stewart. You loved her book Drive. There are SO many who have read them and cannot forget them. They linger, in the BEST kind of way. And the audio is FANTASTIC!
Maryse: Okay… I’m starting Flock today. 😀
Kelly: OMG I am SO excited for you. Hahaha! Cannot wait to see what you think. I’ve loved many of Kate Stewart’s books but the Ravenhood series is her best. It is on my best reads ever list for sure.
➜ Blood Lust by Kitty Thomas and
Zoe Winters has been released & we’ve got fun facts, plus a giveaway! <— THREE heroines are featured in this one. 😀 Just comment on the blog post to enter (open to INTERNATIONAL!!)
P.S. Her fun facts are awesome (she made me laugh SO hard when she said “That did not just happen. Oh. MY. GOD. What’s going to happen next?“). I’m a HUGE Kitty Thomas fan (she’s my queen of dark reads and my first and absolutely unforgettable one from her was Comfort Food!! HOWEVER!! She describes today’s feature (and this series as a whole) as more… “light and snarky” <— 😂😂 Here's a fun snippet from her "fun facts" section on the blog post:
This series was an “Accidental Series”. I started with a cute quirky story about a cat shifter and a dangerous sorcerer she needed to seek shelter from to survive (I know, maybe that doesn’t sound super cute and quirky, but it’s all in the delivery!)
Then after I wrote that novella, I had an idea for another one in that world, and another one. So I had these three PNR stories with three different couples with storylines that overlapped a little bit and everything interconnected. At this point I thought I was done.
But I’d also written a book about an incubus before all this but got an idea of how that world linked to this world and so that became book 2. Book 3 tied all the characters together and then it ended up being 6 books.
